Get some fresh veggies and fruits every Tuesday and Saturday between 12pm to 3pm in front of the plaza or get all the necessary groceries in the various little tiendas.

Apart from Charly's Restaurant on the Campground, you find various places to eat outside in the charming village of Santa Elena to try delicious, authentic mexican food.
How about some nice Tacos at Taco Teo - open every day (except on Wednesday) from 6:30pm to 10pm
Or get a nice burger at Luky's Fast Food - everyday (except Tuesdays) from 7pm.
On the weekends you find plenty of different booths where they sell mexican food.
Hiking
There is a short, beautiful hike up to a cross above our little village. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of agave fields with a nice view through the valley. It takes about 1 hour to get to the cross.
How about a visit to our Municipio Atotonilco El Alto?
Visit a typical mexican city, stroll through the streets with lots of stores, take a seat at the plaza and enjoy the atmosphere.
Getting there is simple: hope on a Rio Zula bus (white & blue bus) leaving at the Plaza in Santa Elena every half and full our. The ride takes about 20 minutes to the bus central where it will also take you back from. The last bus from Atotonilco leaves at 7pm
Visit Arandas
45 minutes from us you will find the beautiful city of Arandas with a stunning cathedrale. Arandas offers lots of different stores especially for boots,belts and sombreros.
